[Elecraft] Frequency shift on K2 display

When I first started to use my k2, I was certain that there was an 
encoder or pl problem.

The frequency would intermittently and slowly change as I sat there and 
admired the display.  Sometimes, it was solid and sometimes would move 
after I tuned to a different frequency.

I like a light touch on the knob so I had left out the felt pad.

Although I did not believe it at first, the slight unbalance of the knob 
is enough to allow the knob to slowly rotate in some knob positions.  My 
cure was to install 3 small felt dots instead of the large pad.  I still 
have a light touch knob and have a stable frequency.

However I do not see how this can affect the split frequency during 
transmit.  The frequency is locked during transmit.  It will affect the 
receive frequency or the REV frequency while the REV button is being held.
