Are you using an RF generator for aligning the filters, or do you try to =
do it=20
using band noise? With my K1 I noticed that it is almost impossible to al=
ign=20
the filters using band noise only. If the filters are just a little off t=
hen=20
you don't hear anything at all and the band seems to be dead. I used an M=
FJ=20
antenna tester as signal generator. I connected one isolated wire to the=20
antenna tester, and one to the K1, and then loosely twisted the wires=20
together, _without_ making an electrical contact (capacitive coupling). T=
his=20
gave me a strong enough signal to allign the filters.
Of course it is possible that your crystals are defective, but it seems=
=20
rather unlikely that two of them went south simultaneously.
