Andy,
I picked up an Astron SS-25M at HRO for my recent trip to XT2DX and it
was more than adequate for the 48-hour CQWW CW Contest plus more pile-up
operating time. We had no problem with rx hash, but every situation is
different. You do need to be sure the K2/100 is not too close to the PS
or it will pick up distortion. I had the K2/100 on top of the PS in CW
Sweepstakes a few weeks before the trip and learned very quickly that it
was a sure formula for bad signal reports.

I'd like to hear from someone with an RS-35A or -35M (meters) and how
they like it with their K2/100. Ham Radio Outlet has them. I definitely
want something with overvoltage protection and current limiting, and the
RS-35 fits the bill. Whether or not I need meters, I dunno...would be
handy to see what is happening if something is acting strange, but given
the sensitivity to magnetic fields, I'll probably have to have this
linear supply a fair way away from the rig.
The switching supplies are tempting. There's been lots of discussion and
the ARRL review of the SS-30M switching supply:
http://www.arrl.org/members-only/prodrev/bymfg.html#A
gave it good marks. This also has overvoltage and current limiting, and
handles 25/30A.
Anyway, if someone has either of these two with their K2/100 I'd like to
hear about receive hash with them -- using a feedline or antenna which
may pick up supply noise close to the rig.
I have a randomwire fed with coax (for appearance) and the
shield is doing darn little good.
