We use Pace systems at work and the construction is similar. I
don't know if it was a Pace product or someone else's, but they
make bottle-brush type things to clean the glass tubes with.=20
They also make little sets of metal brushes of various diameters=20
with which to clean the actual sucker tips. They come in a sort of
jackknife case. You scrub the tip while the sucker is hot -- hold
the case, not the extended brush! ;-)
www.contacteast.com probably has all this, if you want to find it
cheaper you can use that site to find what's available.
The Metcal RF-heated soldering irons ($300 and up) are SUPER. I keep
hoping to find one for home someday, under a hamfest table for $5 or
so! www.metcal.com
