[Elecraft] K2 drif problems?

I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I think that 100 Hz of drift per
transmission or 250 Hz of drift over the course of a half hour CW QSO is
pushing the limit of "good practice" on the Ham bands these days. I
wouldn't apologize for that using an old tube-type rig, but it's
surprising on a modern solid state rig.

That's what my K2 does with the KPA100 in use on the higher bands. The
drift is not a bother on the lower bands where the mixing scheme helps
the BFO and LO drift cancel each other out. The drift is a very
respectable <100 Hz under the same conditions on 40 meters, with
movement of 20 or 30 Hz/transmission at 100 watts the "norm". Certainly
not an issue for CW ops, but for someone running PSK31 it might seem as
bad as 250 Hz on 15 does to me.

That's with the recent stability mod kit installed.

No matter how good it is, there will be someone asking if it can be
better ...

Not a significant problem, given fairly average ops. Given the
versatility
of the radio, it gets used in all kinds of bizarre conditions.
