[Elecraft] kat2 problem after installing battery

Well, we installed the battery option last night.  It was late by the time
we weree done, so didn't try to operate any.

Tried tonight, and when "tune" is pressed, I get a beep, the audio mutes,
then nothing.  No relay chatter, nothing.

Any ideas out there in elecraft land?  Something to tell Jeff (elmer
solderer, and reader of schematics) where to start.

I'm totally blind, so can't tell you what the display says.

Thanks for any help.  Guess I'll have to use the ts2000 for the ten meter
contest.
