Also, you mention the pinout on your microphone, as if that means something
by itself. It's only meaningful if you include the wiring on the microphone
header also. Are you aware of it? Does it's wiring match the pins you
mention?

Is it (as Eric suggests) carrier coming through or is SSB and CW getting
mixed? (IE, does it sound the same as CW or different?).

Sounds like you have your BFO for BF1t set inside of the filter bandwidth
for USB on 18 Mhz and below. (We flip the mixing scheme above 18 MHz, so
this is the same as LSB above 18 MHz. If the BFO is inside the filter you
will see a fair amount of carrier leak through.

it should be about 300 Hz (+/- personal preference) outside of the OP1
filter edge.
