Empire of the Air...the TV series and the Book were very interesting.  I have read my
book several times.
No doubt all the "big" inventors had some kind of "ego" problem!  Lee deForest seemed
to have the worst one.  His invention WAS great, but he let stupidity and swindlers
take
all the monetary gains from it.  The shrewdest one of the lot was David Sarnoff..and
ruthless.  Bill Gates displays a "Sarnoff" trait in business, he wants it all!  David
wasn't
quite as well off moneywise as Bill is though!!!!  I think there are probably things
that
Major Armstrong did that are still classified today.  We may never know what unique
things he accomplished during the war?
