Brian,

When 10 Meters and other higher frequencies "go away" for a few years that
is when Top Band really comes into its' own.  When the guys and gals can't
get their "fix" on the short waves they migrate down to Medium Wave.  The
band is longer, there is typically less astmospherics, and there are a lot
more stations on the air for the wintertime 160 Meter contests.  You'll
enjoy it.  Top Band is THE Band.  Glad to have you aboard, and thanks for
the call and Q in the ARRL 160.
