Gangue:

Here are my results for the ARRL 160M contest last weekend. I used
my K2-100. Antenna is a 45 foot vertical, top loaded with flat top
wires,
and 1600 SQ. feet of radials made from 4' wide galvanized fencing.

The famous MOJO works at 100W too ;).

I missed AK and ME for WAS. I never heard them either.

I missed the usual Canadian provinces too: NWT and NT

In addition I missed PR and VI, never heard them.

The one real kicker that I missed was NLI! There are more people on that
island than there are in the whole state of SD! Never heard them either.

Countries worked were FM5, VP5, ZF1 (and ZF2) and P40A.

I never heard any EU or JA stations here.

I managed to work several known QRP call signs, thanks folks.

I didn't have the courage to face 160 M competitively with only
5 watts.

This is a very quiet location, and the snow covered radials
helped too.

If ever there was a reason to think about using that pipe dreamed
K-2 1500W amplifier, 160M would be that reason. Even with 100W,
there were long stretches where I felt like I was really running
QRP. This is only the third time in my life that I have ever been
on 160M, and the first serious contest effort on this band.
I really enjoyed it, and won't feel so bad when 10M finally
gives it up until the start of the next Solar cycle.
