One more thing on splicing. If you want to have a easy way to tap off say up
to 6 wires, go to your local electrical supply house and get what is know as
a key-tap splicing device. they are available for many different wire sizes
and use a allen wrench to make each connection point tight. the cost is a
little high but well worth the easy ability to add and change wiring from
your 12 V dist system. They are also rated at least 100A continous at up to
600 V ac or dc according to the U.L. label, and you don't have to screw
around wrapping them with electrical tape
