Never got me any more Q's either, but curious about the..
".. If an indicator is self-assigned, it must be included before, after,
or both before and after, the call sign."
They can't possibly mean QRP/AA8VS/QRP ?????

Subject: [Elecraft] Using /QRP in the USA
...I used to sign /QRP, it did get me more qso's, also a pink slip from
the FCC. /QRP is not legal in the US.... Regards, Helm. WB2ADT

Don't know when that was Helmut, but it's legal now! Part 97.119 of the
FCC rules, paragraph c states:
(c) One or more indicators may be included with the call sign. Each
indicator must be separated from the call sign by the slant mark (/) or
by any suitable word that denotes the slant mark. No self-assigned
indicator may conflict with any
other indicator specified by the FCC Rules or with any prefix assigned
to another country.
--------------------------------------------------
Since the FCC does not assign /QRP for one of their designations, it's
entirely legal for USA Hams to use it.
