Hi
If you are building a B model (>3000 S/N) then there is not a pot for r60,
it is a 100 ohm fixed resistor.
The manual method of setting R1 is good but I do it a little differently. I
use my OHR wattmeter set on the 100 mW scale and adjust R1 for minimum
output while holding the PPT button and no sound into the microphone.
