[Elecraft] Snake oil for sick KAT100

Greetings,

I finally solved the riddle of the sick KAT100!  It's working perfectly now!

Before ordering the KAT100, I had mounted the KPA100 in the EC-2.  To do that, 
I had mounted a BNC connector in the EC-2 back panel, and wired a 2 pin 
connector to the back of the BNC for easy assembly of the KPA100.

When I completed the KAT100, I connected the two pin RF lead to the KAT100 
without checking the polarity of the pins.  That poor K2 was transmitting 
directly to ground, but enough RF was getting through to activate the tuner and 
indicate a match on the higher frequencies.

Although no one gave me the solution, several of you gave me enough info to get 
my brain going the right direction.  Thanks a bunch!  Couldn't have done it 
without you!
