Check eBay before running down and possibly blowing a bundle
In addition to what you mention, here is what I (personally) found
indespensible when building my K2:
A GOOD temp controlled soldering station (ala Weller, etc.)
A 'solder sucker'
An 3X Optivisor or 'clip on' optivisor glasses magnifier
a good set of flush cut pliers
needlenosed pliers
A jewelers phillips head screwdriver set (ala Radioshack # 64-1962). The
kind with the 'spinner' on the end.
A good adjustable light source (the more the merrier I say)
A soldering aid (sort of a small, 2 ended wooden handled 'pick' with a
straight end and a curved end. Useful for lifting/pushing parts/toroids
around, etc.)
small cushioned vise or 'third hand' type of tool to hold
connectors/pins/etc. while soldering
Copies of the relevant manual pages printed from the .pdf file (so as not to
harm the original manual)
What I found really handy (but could probably do without)
Panavise/circuit board holder (actually the one I have is not Panavise but I
like it better than panavise as it adjusts easier)
Large cushiony antistatic mat (I just touch first, keep my elbows on the mat
so I don't need the wriststrap).
Loctite (for those screws you WON'T be taking out later)
Coozy to keep my beer cold.
Dang.. now I wanna build another K2 (etc.)
73 and have fun
