[Elecraft] NZ7C: K2/100 & LGD MP-11 questions

Hi folks - 
Well, so far everything seems a go with my K2/100. Howvere, when I hook
it up to my LDG tuner (the large one, not the little Z-11) I cannot get
the K2 to activate the tuner unless I push the tune button on the LDG.
If I do press the tune button it seems to tune properly. Shouldn't the
K2 automatically activate the LDG?

Also, when I did the transmit tests into a dummy load and pressed tune,
I could here the tune tone. When I have the K2 hooked to the LDG and hit
tune, I do not hear the tune tone. Is that to be expected?
