If you install the diodes into an 1/8" stereo inline socket with a short
wire run from your paddles and install a 2 in 1 adapter in the socket,
you can plug the computer and straight key into the adapter and leave  A
Det on and everything will work fb without touching anything.  This is
in addition to the regular wiring from the paddles to the rig.  You do
have to jumper the ring and tip pins of the computer stereo plug.  At
least this works for me.
