[Elecraft] Radio Shack 21-1172D Microphone Info for the K2

The wiring for RS 21-1172D is as follows:  
          
          Yellow  wire -  pin 1 of   8 pin plug 
          Red wire -       pin 2  "   "   "     " 
          Black wire -    pin 8   "  "    "     " 
          Copper shld -  pin 8   "  "    "     "  
          White wire -    not used 
         
      To configure for VOX  jumper SW1(upper half) DPDT switch outer contacts 
inside       
      mic case.(light yellow jumpered to yellow).  

      P1 jumper block wiring on K2  - Straight thru for all  1 thru 8 
      For best results need to change R14 form 1K to 10K on SSB board for 
better
      output. 
   
      I received very good audio reports on this RS mic.  Also have a MH-2 
which is
      slightly better.(more output & slightly better audio).  The RS mic 
gives good 
      communications audio.   Good luck.
