Anyone else having trouble getting KE6D's K2 Control progam to work, I
just found the trick.

Position the mouse cursor on the title bar of the main screen and
right-click (KE6D calls it "the top of the dialog box").  Then configure
to the COM port you use and set the comm parameters to "4800 N 8 2".  
Every K2 is 4800 N 8 2, so these parameters should be set by the program
automatically and it should not be up to the user to set them.

Another touch KE6D could add would be to have the program search all COM
ports for the K2 so that the user would not have to set that parameter
also.  Elecraft's "Autosearch" for the COM port obviously does it this
way.  This is the way I do it with all of the software I've written for
the FT-1000MP, BTW.

K2 Control works now, but apparently it's still in its development
stages, even with the latest version I downloaded.  Elecraft's K2 Remote
seems much more useful.
