Thanks to all who directed me to Elecraft's K2 Remote program and KE6D's
K2 Control program.  I downloaded both and all functions of K2 Remote
work fine, so the RS-232 interface on my KPA100 is working fine.

However, KE6D's program will not work at all for me.  According to his
ReadMeFirst file, after clicking on "OK" on the initial error message I
get the display with all of the K2 functions, but nothing works.  I never
did get the configuration box that he says will appear after clicking
"OK".  I'm running it on Win 98 from COM1.

Any ideas why K2 Remote works fine, but KE6D's K2 Control doesn't work at
all?  If there's a configuration file, where does it hide?

Anyway, everything is working as advertised on my newly-built KPA100. 
The power out/SWR display when in TUNE is a nice touch.  Tried the PA KEY
OUT with my old Alpha 76 CA amplifier and it works great.  It takes 50
watts out of the K2/100 to drive the amp to 1300 watts out, so there's
plenty of reserve.  And the heatsink hasn't even gotten lukewarm yet! 
Lokks like a great little 100-watt amp.
