[Elecraft] HELP! K1 audio drop

My K1, #00379, just developed the following
distressing symptom: On power-up, the audio is as
strong as ever, and then in about ten seconds, it
drops by 5 or 6 s-units, and stays there. If I turn it
off, then back on, the same thing happens each time.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
