[Elecraft] Firmware Upgrade

Hi

If you are using the K2 for a transverter IF the 2.X firmware has support=
 for three transverter bands and the calibration of the VFO/PLL is more a=
ccurate as well as many more inprovements. However when the Xvtr/50M opti=
on comes out new firmware will be required to support this option and wil=
l probably be included with the kit.

I was installing the 12/10M mod to K2 sn1016 and noticed that my firmware=
 version is quite old, 1.04 with 1.02 on the =20
SSB and RF boards.  What if any advantages/pitfalls are there to upgradin=
g?  I am watching for the Xvtr/50M option =20
as well as own, built, but never installed the antenna tuner, my K2 is us=
ed for transverter service nearly exclusively =20
so little need for the tuner.
