Although not quite as embarrassing as Ron's incident, one weekend I was
busily building something at the workbench and the doorbell rang. The XYL
had gone shopping, so I grudgingly got up and went to answer the door. It
was someone selling something, and I noticed that they were sort of looking
at me funny...you know, not looking directly in your eyes but slightly
higher. After politely telling them that I wasn't interested in whatever it
was that they were selling, I closed the door and went back to my project.
Only then did I realize that I still had the Optivisor on with the lenses
flipped up. They probably marked my address off of their list permanently!

All humor aside, I can honestly say that I could NEVER EVER have
successfully assembled my K1, K2, and all of the other wonderful kits I have
built in recent years without the Optivisors. They're simply magic for these
old 50-something eyes.
