hi Benjy - The 700 is fine for nearly the whole job - but I noticed that
cleaning the toroid leads with the 700 was difficult on the fatter gauge
wire, so I switched to an 800 and had much easier going there. Also, the 800
on the WTCPT did a very nice job with the "heavy duty" soldering, such as
soldering the power transistors. I did not have to resort to using the
soldering gun.
