FB-77-1024  cores are available from http://www.amidoncorp.com/ . They are in the "ferrite shielding beads" section of
the catalog.

These fit over RG-8 with room to spare.  The ARRL Antenna book calls for using 12 for 1.8 to 30 MHz.
