Problem solved: Pencil and Paper!

Seems to some that if I don't want to use "real logging software"
(possibly DOS based); Why bother? The answer is simple I DON"T CARE
THAT MUCH ABOUT CONTESTING! I just want to have fun for a few hours
and reduce the labor of scoring. I get my fill of competitive behavior
at work, I'll not bring that to my hobbies.

I will never contest enough to get proficient with "real contest
software" and I don't want to!

That said, some windows programs look pretty good, but expensive,
$50-100, not much money really. But, if the SW is used only 3 or 4
times per year...I'd rather spend my money other ways.

So how do I reduce my post contest work you ask? Simple. I'll never
make more than 50 or so contacts in any of the FEW events I
participate in, nor spend more than 2-3 hours making contacts. If for
some reason I keep going and make more contacts (100 or so) I just
won't bother with results prep and submittal. Now if that attitude if
offense to some, please let me know, I be glad to not participate in
any contests and enjoy other activities such as bike riding,
hiking...etc. which are far better for my cardio-vascular health and
mental well being.
