[Elecraft] K2: SSB / CW Reception Oddity - sensitivity difference

I just finished the KNB2 on my K2. (Now I'm just waiting for the KPA100
<grin>)

After buttoning my K2 back up and re-arranging my operating desk, I was
tuning around 40m getting familiar with the radio. One strange thing I
noticed was the signals with the OP1 filter were substantially stronger
than on the CW filter. A 40m SWBC carrier that was S9 + 20 dB on SSB was
only S5 on the CW filter, even when it had been centered in the filter!

The next night, while trying to troubleshoot this problem, I removed the
KSB2. I replaced it with wire jumpers across the outside pins of the two
3-pin jacks surrounding the CW crystal filter (essentially what the wire
jumpers did - but it wouldn't work for transmit, since C167 is gone).

CW reception seemed fine. The 40m SWBC carrier was S9 + 20 dB. At least
the CW filter is working right.

Re-installed the KSB2. Now everything works fine -- carrier signals are
the same strength on the OP1 or the CW filter (so long as they are
centered).

Anyone run across this?

I also got an INFO 080 earlier in the week. It just popped up in the
middle of using the K2. After removing every option, I got rid of this
one by removing the IOP and replacing it in the socket. Weird.
