I was the local ARES EC for about 7 years.  Power connector
incompatibilities nearly stopped several of our public service efforts.  So
and effort was made to get it together ... While I am also a fan of the
PowerPole connectors, the effort to re-fit the local hams from cigarette
lighter plugs, clip-leads, and worse has been going on for longer than these
connectors have been around.  I'd get very little cooperation to switch
people again, around here.

Many ARES groups (like Fulton Co. GA) have 'converted' to the A-P-P
connector, but the official ARES standard remains the Molex 319:

I already have my Molex-to-APP connector cord ready for the K2/100.
