This is already on the wish list, but there's one minor problem with the
idea. Suppose you're on some odd frequency and the other operator says
"QSY up 1". My natural instinct is to switch to the 1-kHz step rate and
move the VFO knob one tic--which moves me up exactly 1 kHz. If the VFO
"quantized" to 1 kHz, I'd lose this simple, exact QSY capability. I'd
have to stay in 10 Hz mode and tune up to the desired frequency the more
tedious way.

The right solution to this problem is to keep all of the display digits
turned on at all times and indicate the step rate some other way, but
that isn't possible with the present display. We don't want to flash
anything (!).
