Hi Larry.
Good to hear that you got it working.

The tricky part for me is figuring out the frequency. When I look on the
cluster, I see some station working RTTY on come frequency. When I go to
that frequency, in sideband to use my RIGBlaster, he isn't there! What
the??? &%$*@#&%!!!

Most of the time they post the frequency in actually RTTY mode on your
radio. I learned to go Down 1 in Sideband, and there he is waiting for me!

The RIGBlaster is good for more than just RTTY, too. You're now set up for
SlowScan TV, and a host of other modes, like PSK31, which is probably the
most popular digital mode going now. Go to 14.070.5 and there's all kinds
of guys working the world on 35 watts with PSK31.

You can also look into JT65, too. That's a funny mode to play with, but you
can print something that's 20+DB BELOW the noise floor! Wild stuff. Heinz
used to use JT65 to work Moonbounce on 6 meters.

Have fun with the new toy!!

Hi, John and Jason,

Just saw the email come through from John and thought I'd let you guys and
everyone else know that K0IS is now on FSK RTTY and chasing "new ones." I
finally got the Rigblaster Advantage to work with the PRO III and if anyone
needs any help, I've learned just enough so far to be dangerous. I will
pass along that West Mountain Radio uses an ICOM 756 PRO II for all of their
testing, so if they say it works on ICOM gear and yours doesn't.....

Believe it or not, it took me a week of on and off trial and error before
talking to Sholto at WMR on the phone. We didn't get it going at that time,
and I ordered a recommended cable for FSK keying (only $9.95), but after
talking to him a dim light finally came on upstairs and I found out how
simple it was to get going.

73, Larry K0IS

Yeah that should work, but it would be funnier if you added stuff like
contacting aliens and calling CQ for North Korea. Hi hi
