EIDXA minutes of  Feb 3, 2012



President Rick Heinrich, N0YY called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.



47 Hams answered the CQ call.



Introductions were made all around.



Secretary and treasurer's report from the October 2011 meeting were read and 
approved. Checking account balance as of Feb 3, 2012 is $901.79



Repeater is working OK, no problems reported.



Rick recognized Karin Blankenhagen, K0EGQ. He thanked her for coming to the 
meeting.  A round of applause followed.  She mentioned that Heinz's station 
will be maintained  by Jason, KD0MND, and will be available for some 
contests.



Three hams applied for membership, N0SL, NO0B and W9EAA.  No new hams were 
inducted into the club.



Jerry, WW0E was recognized for doing a super job on the newsletter and given 
a round of applause.



Brad K4RT submitted his resignation as webmaster. It was decided by voice 
vote that up to $100 could be spent to thank Brad for his effort by giving 
him a EIDXA plaque and EIDXA logo shirt. Glen K0JGH will follow up.   Jason, 
KD0MND offered to be our new Webmaster.



Rick, N0YY gave a presentation on maintenance and preparation of PJ2T, with 
emphasis on the corrosive effects of antennas and equipment near the ocean.



Next meeting is scheduled for April 27. Possible presentations may be a 
preview of the HK0NA DXpedition by Glen W0GJ, or alternately DX for Win by 
K0CF.
