[EIDXA] Low Dipole

Esteemed Eastern Iowa DX'ers,

I got a lot of giggles when I described my low 80 meter dipole last Friday
night, so I thought you would be interested to hear that I worked 6W/DL4JS
and TG9NX on 160 meters tonight listening on the low dipole, which happened
to be the best of my three receive antennas for those two stations. I worked
VK9DWX listening on the Waller flag, and TO5DX listening on the mag loop. I
never know which one will 'hear' the best, so I do a lot of switching back
and forth. As I said, you can never have too many receive antennas, because
160 meter propagation is a mystery wrapped inside an enigma. That's four new
ones since the meeting, so only four to go for DXCC. As I told Joe, the
light at the end of the tunnel is discernable. Anybody want to buy the
Waller flag? It's really a TH-7 in disguise, so you get two antennas for the
price of one; )

Nelson, KU0A
