Sorry for the slow reply to this guys, but was called away on business
and had some issues with my computer that I have seemed to ironed out
Anyway...
In reference to Garry NI6T and Adam, N7YA's comments
I and all of the other QSL managers wish that understanding our plight
like you guys do was as easy to explain to the rest of the Ham community
Im sure that there are a lot of Ops out there who do understand, but
the majority seem totally clueless and the fact these days that Elmering
seems to be a lost art for the new comers into our hobby leaves
a lot to be desired for the Ops on my (QSL manager ) end
Leaving us holding the bag and looking like a bad guy when these
knuckleheads send out a QSL direct without any postage or SASE
and then we reply back to them via the bureau and it takes a year
or more
Im currently receiving Emails on an almost daily basis from a RK4 station
who I know I replied to his QSL request early last year ( Its was the type of
card a guy would not forget seeing. if you know what I mean!)
and even dropped another one in via the bureau at his request when
he says that he didn't receive his back in a timely manner!
So what do you do with a guy like that except that humor him and try your
best!
73 de Mike
