24/02/2005:  Phil G3SWH, Jim G3RTE, Jean ON8RA, and Adriano ON5GA will
be active from Nuachachott, Mauritania, on CW only on all bands 160 to
10 meters as 5T0CW between February 24th and 4th March 4th. Propagation
permitting, they plan to have at least one station on the air on a 24
hours a day basis. QSL via G3SWH either direct with SAE and return

24/02/2005:  Bill, NE1B (C6AWB), and Tom, C6ANM, will operate from the
islands of Eleuthera (NA-001) and New Providence (NA-001), Bahamas
between February 24th and March 8th. March 1-3rd they will make a side
trip to the Berry Islands (NA-054). They plan to participate in the 160
CQ WW SSB and the ARRL SSB DX contests. QSL for both via WA2IYO. Logs

from the Purovsky Area (RDA reference YN-11, for the Russian Districts

24/02/2005:  Andrey, RW4NJ, is now active until February 26th as RW4NJ/p
from the Luzsky Area (RDA reference KI-24, for the Russian Districts
Award), Kirovskaya oblast (KI). Activity will be on 80 meter CW and SSB.

24/02/2005:  Sergey, UA0SE, is now active until March 9th as UE0SZA from
Angarsk City (RDA reference IR-07 for the Russian Districts Award),

24/02/2005:  Mike W1USN, Bob AA1M, and Scott W1SSR will be active from
the island of St. Kitts (IOTA NA-104) between February 24th and March
4th, signing V4/homecall. They hope to operate CW, SSB and PSK on all

24/02/2005:  Art, N2NB, will be QRV February 24th to March 8th as VP2MDY
from Montserrat (NA-103). Activity will be on all bands 160 to 6 meters,

24/02/2005:  Larry W1LR, and Bill W4WX, will operate from Montserrat
(IOTA NA-103), the Volcano Island, February 24th through March 2nd,
using the callsigns VP2MHS (W1LR) and VP2MHX (W4WX). The activity will
primarily be on PSK-31 and RTTY on 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meters. QSL

24/02/2005:  Andy, G0JLX, is travelling to Ascension Island (IOTA
AF-003) February 24th and plans to operate until March 21st. He is
hoping to get the call ZD8AD (after his initials) whilst on Ascension,
and although operating hours will be limited to a couple in the evenings
week-days, the weekends are a whole different matter. He is also hoping
to take the new FT-897D /portable up a mountain on the island with the
G5RV for some real fun. As Andy will only be running 100 watts at best
on HF and 50 MHz, you'll have to keep your ears pinned well back for
him. He will be working as many stations as he can in the limited hours,

24/02/2005:  Jakey, G3JKY, is on vacation in New Zealand and will be
operating from the North Island (IOTA OC-036) as ZL2JKY until mid March.

25/02/2005:  Members of the Anseong DX Club, the Pyungteak DX Club and
the Suwon DX Group will be active February 25-27th as DT0HF from Taebu

25/02/2005:  Alex, RA9USA, will be active February 25-26th as RA9USA/9
from Gorno - Altajsk City (RDA reference GA-01, for the Russian
Districts Award) and from the Majminsky Area (RDA GA-03), Republic Gorny

25/02/2005:  Janusz, SP6IXF, and Przemek, SP7VC, will be active February
25th to March 11th from Namibia. They are landing in Windhoek on
February 25th. The same day the will be in their QTH (Farm Heimat)
located about 130 kilometers from the capital city. Farm Heimat is a HAM
friendly location (http://www.natron.net/tour/heimat/index.html). They
already have their licenses and the call-signs will be V5/SP6IXF and
V5/SP7VC. On February 25th Janusz and Przemek are going to install 160m
antennas and start to operate in the CQ WW 160m SSB the next day. They
will have three beverages (for EU, USA and JA) for the top band. They
will also participate ARRL DX SSB the next weekend. They will have
FT-890, TS-50, IC-706MKIIG and TS-2000, 3el Mosley for 20/15/10 meters,
2el for 17/12 meters and wire antennas for other bands. They also plan
to take 2el 40m Yagi but it depends on the weight. The web site of the

25/02/2005:  Bodo, DL3OCH, plans to be active between February 25th and
March 6th from Key West (IOTA NA-062, USI FL-040S, Monroe County),
Florida. He will sign W4/DL3OCH and will be QRV on 40 through 10 meter,
CW only. Bodo also hopes to activate some other Florida islands during

26/02/2005:  Joeke, PJ2/PA0VDV, will be active February 26th to March

call ZV2PHG from March 1st to 31st to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of
the International Pharmacists Ham Group. Activity will be on 40, 20, 15

28/02/2005:  Willi, SV5/DJ7RJ, will activate the island of Kos (IOTA
EU-001) mainly on the lowbands between February 28th and March 19th. QSL

02/03/2005:  The American Samoa Amateur Radio Association (ASARA) are
pleased to announce the Swains Island (IOTA OC-200) DXpedition which
will be QRV March 2-6th. The original project team members are: Kan
JA1BK, Larry AH8LG, John K1ER, Lee KH6BZF, Bill K5NX, Dick W1RU, Stu
WA2MOE and Tanaka AH7C. The operators will be: Kan JA1BK, John K1ER/KH6,
Tanaka JH1JGX/AH7C, Yuichi JR2KDN, Paul F6EXV, Jim N9TK and Burt W0RLX.
They will be using the call KH8SI. Activity will be on 160 to 10 meter
CW, SSB, and RTTY on the usual DX and IOTA frequencies. The pilots will
be Larry AH8LG, Stu WA2MOE, Yoshi JE2EHP and Lee KH6BZF. QSL via VE3HO

02/03/2005:  Northeast Wisconsin DX Association (NEWDXA) members Gilbert
W9GMP, John NZ9Z and Tom W8JWN will be operating from V31MD's shack from
March 2-10th. They will be operating as a Multi/2 entry in the ARRL DX
SSB Contest as V31TR. QSLs for the contest will go to W9DXA: c/o NEWDXA,
2113 W. Twin Willows Drive, Appleton, WI 54914-6864. QSLs for
non-contest contacts for V31TR (W8JWN), V31GR (W9MDP), and V31NZ (NZ9Z)

04/03/2005:  Once more, Pierre and Marie Therese are vacationing in
Guadeloupe Main Island (IOTA NA-102, DIFO FG-001). Pierre will be
FG/F6FXS. He, and his wife Marie Therese, will stay here between March
4th and 22nd. It's a CW only holiday style expedition. 40 to 10 meters
with FT817 and wires, but neither computer nor Internet or other non
radio links; so no skeds possible. UFT frequencies (7013, 10115, 14045,
18083, 21045, 24903, 28045 kHz). QSL when return direct (CBA) or via

04/03/2005:  Dennis, KT8X, will be active March 4-11th as FS/KT8X from
St. Martin (IOTA NA-105). This will be a holiday style operation with an
emphasis on the WARC bands. However, he does plan to enter the ARRL DX
SSB Contest (March 5-6th) as a Single-Op entry. QSL route will be the

22/07/2005:  Karl, OE3JAG, plans to be active July 22nd to August 7th as
S79JAG from Mahe, Seychelles (IOTA AF-024, WW Loc. LI75SF). This will be
a DX holiday style operation. Karl will be using an FT-817, running QRP,
with random wire and dipole antennas. Look for activity on the following
bands and frequencies: CW - 14020, 18070, 21020, 24890 and 28020 kHz;
SSB - 14190, 18140, 21190, 24940 and 28190 kHz; RTTY - 14080, 18100,
21080, 24920 and 28080 kHz; and PSK - 14070, 18100, 21070, 24920 and
