Hello all,
I am having trouble getting DXBase 2007 to see the HOSTS file. I have done
the following twice now (this time) and feel it is time to ask someone more
knowledgeable than I am. I read the help files and searched for the HOSTS
file in Windows and found HOSTNAME. I assume this is the file referenced in
the Help files to add to or erase. However, I don’t know how to add to that
file since I cannot open it.
I have uninstalled both my DXBase 2006 & DXBase 2007 programs and
reinstalled DXBase 2007 only. I was going to uninstall DXBase 2006 anyway. I
searched my hard drive; hidden and system files also. I find the following,
once again, twice now. I keep all radio related files in my C:\Ham folder.
I do not have this problem with N1MM, HRD, or Win-Test. I am running two
computers (XPTM, 32 bit, Service Pak 2 & VistaTM Home Premium, 32 bit,
Service Pak 1). It is the same problem on both of them. Would someone be so
kind as to tell me what I am doing wrong?
Tnx,
Joe WL7E
