I do not know what the criteria is for the feature. Please explain.

A free program thats out there has issues with this.

Issue is that when there is a spot for P5/WA9YSD 7003.0 the next spot is P5/WA9YSD 7005.0 an other spot is P5/WA9YSD 7007.0, then he switches modes to SSB P5/WA9YSD 7200.0 free program does not print out another spot it prints the spot on the same line. Does DXBase do this as well?

Several things are going on with this example I dislike. First off these hams doing the spot is spotting the listening freq., QSX, and not the transmit frequency and makes it hard to figure out the DX stations pattern and to anticipate what freq. he will listen to next.

The other problem is the Free program does not let you know does not put the SSB spot on a new line it puts it on the same line as well. For those people like me like to work BAND MODES as well, like 40M CW and 40M SSB. A couple of things are going on here as well. One is that you can possibly miss the All Time New Mode and not just for a band mode. Another is you can still miss the anticipation of what freq. the DX station will listen to next.

The advantage to band modes is if the DX station will not work you twice cause your a dupe on the same mode you have the option to make a confirmation QSO on SSB.

What issues does DXBase have with these type of issues? I had thought this feature only works on DXBase when the spot is for the same freq. and DX Station. I believe you can also turn on and off this feature.

Stay on course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith. Jim K9TF/WA9YSD
