[Dxbase] MicroKEYER problem

Hi Eugene,
DXbase does not reflect the Speed button from the WinKeyer via the
microKEYER, nor is QSK possible with the current PTT option (Darn it all! I
miss that option too). Perhaps if we ask nicely Jack and his band of coders
will incorporate those features in the next version.
For now, I simply do not use the PTT via the rig's microphone front circuit.
I don't use a mic anyway so for me it is not a problem to leave it
disconnected. At least I do have QSK now.
Check the version of the microKEYER router software too. Jozef did fix a
problem that did not allow the Keyer to recover after you exited DXbase.
Make sure you have that fix which is included in v.3.0.1.
Now - You mentioned that you also have started DXbase before starting the
microHAM keyer? That is a no-no, sort of. DXbase simply can not find WinKey
and will come up with a reminder and turn off that particular feature. Least
it does on my configuration. It only is a problem if you wish to use the CW
Macro function included in DXbase.
Regards,

Subject: [Dxbase] MicroKEYER problem
I have DXB 2006 ver. 1.0.3. If I start DXBase BEFORE I switch on my
radio (which powers my keyer), everything is fine. But if I have keyer
on when I start DXBase, or I use keyer configuration screen, DXBase
disables the speed knob (which I always use to adjust my speed), and
enables PTT line. Is it a bug or a "feature"? I do not want PTT line
enabled when I use CW (I use QSK), and I want my speed control by the
pot, not mouse.
Any ideas?
