[Dxbase] Band Master, Ionprobe, & DX Atlas

I  again am a Newbee at this.  I just purchased Band Master, Ionprobe, & DX Atlas, well I cannot get Band Master to intface with my DXBase2005 cause I do not know where to begin.  Can anyone please help.  Also I have tried different filter setting on Band Master and does not seam to be set up and as usual I do not know how to follow instructions again.
Was this a waste of money?  I spent it so I had more to play with.
