[Dxbase] The VALID column

Ron,
When both boxes are checked, that indicates that the QSO is OK for
everything and therefore no special highlighting applies. When one or both
of the boxes are not checked, then it doesn't count for everything and
therefore special highlighting is applied so you can readily see these QSOs.
The only auto check we make is that CW QSOs prior to 1975 are not eligible
for Mode awards. They can only be used for mixed.
So, sounds like the software is doing exactly what was designed.
Regards,
Jack

Subject: [Dxbase] The VALID column
Having a problem with the VALID column. QSOs were imported from Dxbase 2000
into DXbase 2005. Some of the qsos PRIOR TO 1975 are highlighted in RED and
the MODE box is unchecked, indicating that this qso is not valid for dxcc
band or mode award (A DXCC Award Rule). However . . . . there are other qsos
also dated before 1975 that are not highlighted in red and both the mixed
and mode boxes are checked undert the VALID column. Running INITIALIZE
TABLES does not correct this discrepency.
What's up? How can this be fixed or is there something I don't understand?
73's . . .
