[Dx4win] Help needed!

By the way, if you used System Restore to restore your C:\ partition,
and that is the partition that DX4WIN is installed on, it probably
reverted the logs to the day that recovery point was generated.

I only have Windows on my C:\ partition. I put everything else on a
separate partition. It avoids these kinds of problems. Yesterday, I
had done some work in another program, but for reasons I won't go
into, I had to restore my C:\ partition from the 4 a.m. daily backup.
All the work I had done that morning was preserved because it did not
take place on the C:\ partition.

In the past, when I would receive an update or would experience a power failure, I would have to resort to uninstalling the program and then re-installing it, after which I would find all of the QSOs in my log book.

I tried to restore the computer to an earlier date, with disastrous results. After (finally) undoing the restore, I again had a working computer.

Prior to using DX4WIN, I had used a program called "Log Windows" - that program would not run on any operating system newer than Windows XP and it also did not like QSOs that were newer than December 31, 2020. That was why I switched to the new program.
