[Dx4win] DX4WIN shutdown error

Below an old message that may address your situation too. In subsequent
messages we concluded that the call to close the connection did not return
and did not return an error code either:

I think I found why "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window...":
before exiting DX4WIN I tried to turn my beam (F11). It did not work
because (as often happens) my 4el SteppIR was on a retracted tower,
pointing to my shack and my Alpha 77 RF power disabled the FTDI USB/RS232
interface to the rotor ERC controller. Trying toexit DX4WIN afterwards
just closed the log window, then nothing else responded. I clicked Exit
again, idem. Then, extracted the FTDI USB interface and DX4WIN closed
itself immediately without any command form my part.. MY conclusion: the
program can't exit if some control interfaces programmed into preferences
are not operational. Would like to have your opinion ( I don't blame DX4WIN
for this, HI) !
