[Dx4win] Saving the log

I have version 8.05. I cannot find <callsign>.dxl anywhere on my computer. I have done a search for it and its not there. 
I learned to use a thumb drive in the Secondary Backup Directory feature in DX4WIN preferences. My question is I have noticed that my  .adi and .dxl file is saved in my Secondary Backup but not my DX4WIN program. If I look in c:/DX4W805/save I see the "Sample" log but not my "N4EPD" log and no n4epd.dxl or n4epd.~xl file. If I look in my Secondary Backup Directory  it is there. Why is it not being saved in DX4805/ save ?
