[Dx4win] CW Keyboard Using the Parrallel Port

I sent a request for help at the end of last year and Paul answered
promptly. However, shortly after he answered I lost the HD in my 12 year old
Dell. I tried to recover the data on the HD but the e-mail messages wouldn't
cooperate.

 

I never was able to implement Paul's suggestion. I've looked in the archives
and can't find my original message and Paul's reply. I have the original
message that I sent on December 31, 2012 so I know I wasn't dreaming that I
sent the request for help. So, if you guys would be so kind, here is a copy
of what I sent last year.

 

 

"I can't get DX4WIN to change to the parallel port, it keeps reverting back
to the serial port [COM1]. I am shown as an expert user. 

 

Did DX4WIN drop the ability to use the parallel port for keying a
transmitter when running a keyboard using DX4WIN? "

 

 

 

I've checked the control panel and LPT-1 is working according to the ECP
Printer Port [LPT1] properties.

 

Any suggestions?
