Run as administrator once I believe is the fix.  I don't know how to in Win
8.  You also installed in its own folder and did not use the "Program Files"

I am using DX4WIN version 6.03. I have loaded the program from the disc onto
a new laptop with Windows 8. Seems to have loaded OK but when I try to open
the program I get the message "Port driver not found! Check Appendix: Files
for the correct driver".
Does this mean that version 6.03 is too old to work with Windows 8? What
