Franz, this is the second time I've heard of this problem.  I believe
it has to do with badly-formed QSOs in the logbook data.  If you don't
have any selections or groups configured, the easiest way to work
around it is to export your 7.07 log in DX4WIN6 format (to a .DXQ
file), then in DX4WIN 8.05, create a new log and import that .DXQ file
into it, also in DX4WIN6 format.
