Many poeople don't even know how to form their domestic calls...
I1ABC/P/2 - I1ABC/P2 - I1ABC/IK2 - I2/I1ABC - IK2/I2ABC - IK2/I1ABC/p 
... you will find all sorts...
When on FJ, a guy from Alaska worked me under 3 different call formats. 
W0ABC  W0ABC/KL7  KL7/W0ABC (just as an example, the call was not 
W0ABC).Maybe it is time for everyone to review their national regulations.
Not to mention the Spanish guys. If within your own country, do not use 
the CEPT license format, but your national one !
EA1ABC/8 is the correct format, not EA1ABC/EA8 or EA8/EA1ABC....
So many more examples could be given...
