The Same Call window will show AD1C, AD1C/0 and AD1C/KH4 QSOs without
requiring the modifications you describe.  The problem with what you
are doing is that if the other station uploads his log to Logbook of
the world, signed with the AD1C/0 certificate, and you upload the same
QSO but logged as AD1C, LoTW will never match those two QSOs.

Here is an example: recently I think ZS9Z/1 uploaded their log to LoTW
(Penguin Island).  They got hundreds of matches.  They also signed the
*same log* as ZS9Z/ZS1, uploaded those QSOs and got *even more*
matches.  This means DXers were logging callsigns *other* than what
the DX operator was signing.  Don't expect to be so lucky in the
future.
