[Dx4win] Something just happened that never happened before.

You should first restore your dx4win.cfg and dx4win.ini from a backup.
If you don't have a backup, you should, you could have damaged your log.

Change your security preferences to update but NOT restart your computer 
but to just notify you.

With these changes it won't happen again.

If you don't have a backup, I would try deleting the config and ini 
files and configure from scratch. You can merge from an older ini file 
if you have one.
