[Dx4win] DX4WIN, Vista, and MMTTY

Good Morning...

I'm still trying to get everything back in order since the replacement of my computer a couple of weeks ago.

I have made a lot of progress but the title of the email tells it all.

Each time I try to open the "MMTTY Window" in DX4W, I get a message saying "MMTTY could not be opened." It opens without any problem when I open the actuall MMTTY program.

I have installed the "vista version" of MMTTY (Ver1.66g) and I have managed to get the radio (ProIII) to decode RTTY, via a MicroKeyer, and to key the radio but it is not sending RTTY. The "outgoing" text shows up in the transmit window (of MMTTY) but it is not modulating the carrier. Various settings of the MMTTY Options/setup have not changed anything.

If you happen to be using this setup, I would appreciate any information you might have to help me solve this problem. I'm fairly certain it's something minor that I have overlooked, but if that is the case, I've been VERY consistent over the past few days, overlooking it many times!!

Another quick question: has anyone on the list been using Windows 7, I guess in the beta-testing? I have a free upgrade for this computer, and if W7 is less of a problem than Vista, I'll download it, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience with it.

Thanks, and 73,
