[Dx4win] File Question

Can anyone out there please tell what I have configured wrong that causes
DS4WIN 7.07.02, when I try to open my usual general log, to give me the
message that an error occurred on previous program shutdown  and that ''. .
.a back-up copy of my log was found.  Did I wish to save it?''  This alien
condition, which doesn't happen 100% of the time, started on my laptop first
and now I notice that it has migrated to the desk-top where I keep an
entirely different log!  How did I create this problem for myself?

 

The good news is that this does teach a guy to be really careful of his
logs. External hard drives are dirt-cheap these days.
